Grubhub: Opening Doors in Chicago

Grubhub is a born and bred, bona fide Chicago company. With the inauguration of a new Mayor, 2023 was the perfect time to tell the story of Grubhub’s Chicago roots and how it connects the unique neighborhoods within the city through food, community, and economic benefits.

We developed the platform “Opening Doors” and created a city-wide, hyper-local OOH campaign that drove home Grubhub’s Chicago roots & commitment to restaurants and diners across the city.

Born in Cook County. Delivering what this county cooks.

Eat local. Feed locals.

Proud to help over 14,000 local restaurants deliver for their communities.

Feeding your jibarito obsession and a whole lot more.

We’re Chicago from the get-go.

Hey I called up all up my Chicago friends and had a little mini focus group session on some of this copy. Here are my thoughts and changes.”

- Exactly what my ACD of Copy did not want to hear.
Thanks for implementing my feedback anyways, Alex.

Grubhub isn’t just a local business.

It’s a Chicago business that helps local businesses grow.

- Something we said in the pitch.

Credits

I believe firmly in giving credit where credit is due. Encouraging myself and my peers to stand in the light that we create is something I won’t ever waver on. All of the materials on this page are not my creations alone. If we (future client or employer) work together, you will not get this exact project from me alone. It takes a team. A damn good one. I am a master team builder and creative leader and that is what I can promise you from this book.

So without further adieu, thank you to my team for our many hours meticulously labored over every detail, idea, word, edit, change, export. This is just one example of the work of true creatives and I’m so incredibly honored to have served as your creative director.
